Punishment or sacrifice ?

God sent His only Son as a sacrifice so that we might be released from death ! .  But in Deuteronomy 18:10 it states “that sacrifice as in burning is prohibited ?,  yet we read about Gehenna and the fire

Could it be that it is not so much the the sacrifice but whom we sacrifice too ?, then there’s the death Angel passing over [or the passover Lamb]

Hebrews 11:28 – [Exodus 12:13 for the Lord, seeing the blood sprinkled, as above, when he smote the
 firstborn of Egypt, passed by the houses of the Israelites, ]

And Numbers 31:17 [Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,]

Could it be that sacrifice is prohibited unto gods, but in general not prohibited unto God ?. So in effect you could say that “Jesus took our punishment”, that is that Jesus took our place and took on Himself the punishment we deserved 1 Peter 2:24 Isaiah 53:4 which is  “substitutionary atonement” He imputed His righteousness for our imputed sin, He replaced our sin with Himself

Jesus was  the sacrifice” Hebrews 10:14-24 Romans 3:25 1 Corinthians 5:7. Yet of the living He says Lamentations 3:39

Yet He was did both, Jesus took the punishment we deserved and was a living sacrifice, yes the unblemished Lamb of God. Yet we sacrifice ourselves to Him in Romans 12:1 to be living sacrifices

Can Light mingle with Darkness ?

Genesis 1:3 KJV And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

This Spirit of God hovering over the congregation of waters about to bring order and peace to confusion and array

So in the beginning there was darkness and chaos as the atoms and elements danced around in praise to God and being a mass congregation of created miniature universes

Until Jesus brought light and said “let there be light”

And the created “Church mass” of confusion and fusion…stood to attention and were moulded from chaos into unity and purpose

This light bringing order as everything became what it was meant to be…

And Light came into the world and so did darkness…not just a night and day, but good and evil , God and satan

And at the Eve of this new creation

The Adams of flesh could choose to walk in the “day or night”

God walking in the light and being the Light

walking towards the Adams of creation made in His image [being that they have walked away]

and as a Shepherd calling them back to the pasture Acts 19:18

Psalm 119:105 NIV Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path

Uncovers the sins of those who walk in the “Light” or “darkness” or “Both”

Jeremiah 16:17 (NIV) “My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from me, nor is their sin concealed from my eyes.”

So the Lord God Father of creation “walked” as man walks towards the Adams of history to illuminate darkness and to transform those conforming to patterns of darkness Romans 12:2 NIV

Gods Word who is the Word raising up and resurrecting the darkness of the heart to live in the day as children of the day

Job 12:22 (NIV) He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into the light

Once in that Light we therefore SHOULD stay in that Light

John 12:46 ESV “I [Jesus] have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.” John 11:9-10

Darkness brought down creation entering into a curse and from this time onwards creation was at war Genesis 4:1-16 NIV

1 John 2:9-11 Anyone who claims to be “in the light” and hates his brother is, in fact, still in complete darkness. 1 John 1:5-10

But soon the night will be over and all things will be revealed and shouted from the rooftops

Rom 13:12 The night is almost over, it will be daylight soon; let us give up the things we prefer to do under cover of the dark; let us arm ourselves and appear in the light.

Let us therefore arm ourselves as if at war

For Light cannot be darkness nor darkness Light

In light of Mt 7:24 (where Jesus speaks of how great was the fall of that house)

Iv`e often wondered, is it possible for someone to rebuild after such a calamitous fall? since Jesus never actually mentioned rebuilding after the fall.

It`s something that Iv`e always pondered on. Is it possible to rebuild, or are you swept away and that`s it?
